Description

Texans are famous for being friendly. Why, even the world "Texas" means friend. Show the world that some stereotypes of both good and true, by assisting the Refugee Resettlement Program with their Cultural Orientation program. 

You will spend time working with refugee families from across the world, including from Myanmar, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, and Iran. Help teach these new arrivals about American and Texan culture, customs, and quirks, and make them feel truly welcome in the Lone Star State. 

Requirements
Volunteers must pass a CCAOSA background check (please contact event administrator) prior to event. Background checks take 3-5 business days to complete upon submission.
