Description
Organizational Information: Food Not Bombs is gaining momentum throughout the world. There are hundreds of autonomous chapters sharing free vegetarian food with hungry people and protesting war and poverty. Food Not Bombs is not a charity. This energetic all-volunteer grassroots movement is active throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. For over 30 years the movement has worked to end hunger and has supported actions to stop the globalization of the economy, restrictions to the movements of people, end exploitation and the destruction of the earth and its beings. Read more here. (foodnotbombs.net). Food Not Bombs of the Palouse is proud to be a partner of the Moscow Welcome Table (MWT) project. MWT is here to provide a gourmet, multi-course meal to anyone and everyone in our community. Featuring local chefs and produce, the MWT is a way to share the abundance of the Palouse with the people who make this region beautiful. Opportunity Description: Come join us for a delicious community meal! MESSAGE US IF YOU WOULD LIKE US TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR YOU (and anyone you’d like to invite) FOR THE MEAL AT EITHER 5 OR 6:30. Help us in the dish pit for an hour or two and get a great meal! Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes, and be prepared to learn kitchen safety basics. No prior knowledge of cooking or dish washing is required; this is an opportunity for all volunteers to share their skills and learn new ones.
