About

Volunteers will be provided tools and instruction to install native plants for habitat restoration. Plantings will include understory and overstory replacement forest/trees, pollinator and grassland habitats, and high quality wildlife food sources. This event supports the Restore our River project and will be conducted in collaboration with Athens-Clarke County Sustainability Office and Athens Area Community Foundation. Our goal is to plant 45 trees and 1000 pollinator plants and native grass plugs.

Participants should wear closed toe shoes, long pants / sleeves, and dress appropriately for working outside in the weather. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen / insect repellant if desired.
