We are looking forward to our Experience UGA trips for the semester!

Trip Description: 

The trip consists of a walking tour led by the Early Childhood Education majors around UGA’s South Campus. Children will be divided into groups of 4-5 with 1 UGA student guide per group and will have the chance to look for shapes in buildings and in the environment where they are walking. Following the walking experience, children will read books, draw pictures, and have a snack as a follow-up.

Guidelines for the trip: 

o You are responsible for transportation to the trip site.
o Review your assigned tour route before hand! 
o Arrive at the College of Education and report to room 629 between 8:45 - 9:00 am to meet Dr. Liz Saylor and the Education students.
o Be prepared to engage kindergarten students! 
o Do not have any food or drink with you during the trip. 
o Ensure that all students arrive at their destination.
o Have fun with the students! 

Rain Plan: 
In case of rain, the College of Education will make the call by 8:15 am the morning of the trip to utilize the alternate location of the Tate Center to host the trip, by 8:15AM the morning of the trip. In the case of rain, the visit will be approx. 15-30 min. shorter than originally scheduled.
