We are looking forward to our Experience UGA trips for the semester!

NOTE: This particular trip is for Experience UGA Ambassadors only. If you would like to learn more about our Ambassador program, please contact us at

Trip Description: Fifth grade students will take part in an interactive gallery tour and an art activity at the Georgia Museum of Art. They then participate in an interactive music experience facilitated by UGA music majors. Students will participate in a variety of group music activities including singing, body percussion, games, and movement.  The sessions will take place in Edge Recital Hall, which is located in the School of Music.  Each session will also feature a short performance by a UGA student or student ensemble, as well as an invitation to a few children to take part in an improvisation or present a musical performance of their own.   As time allows, we will offer an “Ask a Music Major” time when children can ask questions of UGA students.

Guidelines for the trip:

o You are responsible for transportation to the trip site.
o School of Music student volunteers should meet Dr. Ritchey at Edge Hall by 12:15.
o Experience UGA Ambassadors should arrive at the Georgia Museum of Art by your assigned shift time and meet Callan Steinmann.
o Be prepared to engage elementary students!
o Do not have any food or drink with you during the trip.
o Ensure that all students arrive at their destination.
o Have fun with the students!

Rain Plan: In the case of rain, the trip will still occur as planned.
