Description | Using surplus food collected from grocery stores and farmer's markets, volunteers will be guided to prepare soups and/or side dishes to compliment the week's meals. In the past we have made sherbet, fruit cups, soups, and side salad. We won't know what we're cooking until an hour before, but don't worry, no culinary experience is necessary. UGA students and community members of all culinary backgrounds are welcome! Volunteers will be given a brief food safety and kitchen training before they begin. Note: You must be 15 years old or older to register. |
