When you take a step back and realize the inner desires of all humans , to love and be loved, the idea of service to others becomes so practical and rewarding. It is really a small world and the space we occupy ought to function on love rather than hate, since we are all in this life together! This made an impact on me personally, because putting my faith in action is so moving and to be able to do that with others from like/unalike faiths truly brings it all into perspective. You meet people involuntarily, but people and experiences can have a positive influence on you by choice, by opening up to the unknown.

I enjoyed my time at the nursing home, but I think it would have been beneficial to have more concrete things for volunteers to do. Overall it was something I would definitely want to do again because I love the idea and I met some really cool people.
