About
Passionate about the environment? 🌿 Join Museum Volunteers for the Environment (MUVE) and help restore and explore coastal habitats. Your involvement can leave a living legacy of native habitats for our coastal communities, plants, and animals! 🌊
About MUVE: MUVE is the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science’s volunteer-based habitat restoration group. We use community science, museum exhibits, outreach initiatives, and eco-art to engage with local residents and enhance our coastal environments. MUVE began as an eco-art initiative by local artist Xavier Cortada in 2006 and has since grown into a movement that leaves behind a living legacy of native habitats.
Volunteer Opportunities: We invite you to join our efforts to restore and explore coastal habitats. As a volunteer, you can:
- Participate in habitat restoration events 🌱
- Engage in community science projects 🔬
- Support museum exhibits and outreach initiatives 🏛️
- Contribute to eco-art projects 🎨
How to Get Involved: We host habitat restoration events every Thursday morning and on the third Saturday of every month! Please visit our website to sign up. For more information, you can learn more about MUVE on our website.
