Bulldog Basics

What is Bulldog Basics? Bulldog Basics, formerly known as the Hygiene Closet, is a student-led initiative supported by the College of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) and Embark@UGA. Embark@UGA, a UGA resource for students who have experienced foster care or homelessness, indicated the need for a hygiene closet during a meeting in fall 2015. The Hygiene Closet officially opened in March 2016 led by the Student Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (SAFCS). A variety of personal hygiene items are stocked in four locations for students to access as needed. Bulldog Basics is funded by a UGA Sustainability Grant, awarded fall 2016, and a UGA Parents Leadership Council Grant, awarded spring 2017. Thank you to the Office of Sustainability for the purchase of bags to carry items. Locations include: Dawson Hall, ASPIRE Clinic, Tate Student Center, and Milledge Hall.
