Description

The Campus Kitchen at UGA is a student-powered hunger relief organization of the Office of Service-Learning. Each week, students recover unused food from dining halls, grocery stores, restaurants, and farmers markets. Using donated kitchen space, our students cook up healthy meals from donated ingredients that are delivered to local agencies serving those in need in Athens, GA.

Our volunteers diverted close to 52,000 pounds of food from landfills and created over 17,700 meals for senior citizens in the 2015-16 school year. Make a difference in our local food system and in the lives of our senior citizens by signing up at one of our volunteer opportunities.
