Event Schedule
Kick-off Celebration: 8:30AM - 9:30AM at the Clarke Central High School gymnasium (350 S. Milledge Avenue).
Volunteer Shift: 10:00AM - 1:00PM at Howard B Stroud Elementary School (715 Fourth Street).
Volunteers will improve the existing, out of use nature trail at H.B. Stroud Elementary School by removing invasive plants that line the trail, repairing a wooden boardwalk that makes up part of the path, clearing trash and debris, and laying mulch to mark the trail.
Children under 18 should be registered by their parent/guardian.
We are not able to accommodate large group registrations. If you have a group that would like to volunteer at the same site, each individual must separately register through Engage Georgia.

- All participants are encouraged to carpool from the kickoff to their selected site.
- All volunteers are encouraged to bring a canned food item to the kickoff event. Donations will benefit Campus Kitchen at UGA. Below you will find donations that are most desirable for this time of year.
- Some examples of acceptable proteins are: Canned beans, dried beans, canned fish (tuna)
- Some examples of acceptable grains are: Boxed pasta, boxed rice, oatmeal

- This site is kid-friendly.
- Volunteers should bring a reusable water bottle.
- Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes and come dressed to get dirty.

Volunteers will meet at Clarke Central High School to check-in and eat breakfast before carpooling to their selected site.
Volunteers will meet at the Clarke Central High School gym at 8:30am for the kick-off event and then carpool to H.B. Stroud Elementary around 9:30am. There is sufficient parking at the school.
